“It’s been a pleasure to have used Tropicana Gardens Dormitory over the last 19 years as the host lodging facility for all of our campers. We choose Tropicana Gardens because of the location in relation to the all the basketball facilities we use on campus and also because of the top notch staff that has run the Dormitory/Apartments over the years. In 19 years we have always felt that our campers and staff were safe throughout the day and night during our camp tenure due to the locked door structure and our roving security guard after hours. Tropicana Gardens has always been fair over the years with our MJ Flight School in relation to the costs to use their facility as they have continued to improve the standards of the building.”

“I’ve had camps at Tropicana buildings off and on since 1992. The years we strayed away and housed our campers at other places I have regretted it and wish I’d been at Tropicana. Tropicana’s location adjacent to the athletic and recreation facilities at UCSB is unequaled by all other housing here. But in addition to that the professional staff really takes care of us while we’re there. Just about every need is met and so are most wishes. One of the things I really like there are the exterior security door. Come night time the doors get locked and you have to have the access card or pass through the front under inspection. It prevents outsiders who should not be there from being there. The night time courtesy patrol also keeps outsiders out. The value is really nice for us since part of overnight camps includes providing a bed and all the meals. Those are costs that have to be passed on to the camper’s families and they’re the driving force behind every overnight camp’s total cost. To be able to keep our total cost down because of the reasonable Tropicana pricing is nice for our families.”

“We have hosted about 50 camps at Trop over the last 10 years. The Tropicana Staff is very professional and they make our job much easier. Everything is taken care of and their facilities are first class and centrally located to the UCSB campus and the beaches. The facility is well staffed and secure. We always feel very comfortable having our campers staying there. When you look at the local options Tropicana Gardens stands out always as a great value with excellent meals and rooms. “

“The Vogelsinger Soccer Academy and it’s camps has been at the University of California in Santa Barbara, for over 22 years. We have a positive long standing relationship with the Tropicana Gardens, and Tropicana Del Norte. We selected these properties for our student campers and staff during our camps for the value offered in their outstanding facilities. The suite accommodations which are consistently maintained, and the renovation and upgrade of their dinning and food service facilities. Each property provides to our campers and staff the use of game rooms, meeting rooms, pools, sundecks, laundry facilities, fitness center, and ample parking. The Tropicana resident staff is friendly, well informed, and professional in every aspect. Each building is safe and secure with a manned lobby front desk, and a Courtesy Patrol provided throughout the day and evening hours. The Vogelsinger Soccer Academy, considers the Tropicana Gardens, and Tropicana Del Norte, a “Full Service” student living and camp facility which we will continue to be a part of for many years to come.”

“Our camps have been staying at Tropicana Gardens for more than 20 years. Our staff and kids love Tropicana for many reasons. The staff is obviously well-trained. They’re always available to help us with our needs and are always friendly and professional. The location is great, close to campus and Isla Vista. We have always been happy with the food quality and variety and they respond to requests. It has a pool, a fun game room and many of the rooms have TV’s. It’s always clean and inviting and it seems like they’re always upgrading something, whether it’s the rooms, cafeteria or something else. We really like the layout of the dorm that is conducive to socializing. The area feels safe and the dorms are always locked at night. It’s not too expensive and we feel it is the best value of the other dorm/residential suites we have checked out. There’s really nothing we don’t like. I highly recommend Tropicana Gardens!”
